Will the FFR optional electric p/s work with a small block Chevy in the 33? I have a customer interested in me building a 33 for him with this combo. Thanks, Tom Wallace.

Hey Tom,

Couple guys here are building '33 with LS power, they are using the electric p/s set up. Talked it over with a few guys, depending on which oil pan you use, you might need to drill an additional hole and clock the motor to clear the oil pan.

With your fab skills it should be a piece of cake.
Keep in mind that if re-clocking the PS becomes too complicated or just doesn't play nice with the oil pan you have you can move it to the firewall like mine and a few others.

Not sure how the old skool SBC compares to the LS that Greg mentioned but on the Hemi it was NOT going to fit on their plate regardless of rotation. Moving it to the firewall just means using the non PS bearing on that plate and making about a 15* wedge to go between the PS and the firewall to unbind the shaft joints on each side of the PS motor.

When you move it to the firewall it can be pointed straight up and fits right below the chassis tube nice and neat AND away from the heat of the headers. You can always add the extra Coyote carrier that clamps to the chassis tube as well if you need more room for headers etc.
