I'm researching what's needed to get my 302 installed. I have the base kit which does not include motor mounts or a transmission mount. The build manual only makes references to an 96-98 T-45 or 99-04-T45 or 3650.

I have a T-5 from an 87 donor. Will this kit work from Summit (Energy Suspension Motor Mounts/Motor Mount Inserts 4-1124R)
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/ens-4-1124r/overview/

I think I'm barking up the right tree but not 100% sure. Also asking some advice on what to steady the motor while I mate up the tranny. I was looking at the MotoFeet but thought I could build something out of wood. Motor is sitting on a traditional engine stand currently.

Either 4-1124R (red) or 4-1124G (black) will work. I used the 4-1124G set from Summit on #7750. It too was a base kit.

I just hang the engine from the shop crane right near the ground while installing the clutch, bell, trans, etc. You could make something out of wood to steady it. I've done that too. But I wouldn't buy a stand for that reason alone. And I usually don't need a real good reason to buy a new tool. :p

dropping the motor into the center of a worn out tire (without a rim), is a cheap and easy way to steady the motor while installing a tranny.

Thank you Gents. As always, much appreciated. All I need is one more tool (like a hole in the head).
