JIM Thanks for the photos. Good seeing you. This is the 4th show they have done & it has always been fun. 1st show they had about 100 cars. That year there was one COBRA, KERMIT. 2nd year was about 300 & the 2nd year KERMIT was it again. 3rd year was about 500 with 2 COBRAS. This year they had over 2,000 cars with about 7 COBRAS if I remember right. Goes to a good cause, BOY'S REPUBLIC, where MCQUEEN spent quite abit of time growing up & he said help turn him around. I think it took over an hour for the displaying cars to leave the field & head home. I waited until the feeding freenzy had died down & then left. Had a nice chat with CHAD MCQUEEN while waiting to leave.

Wish I could be there too. Next year for sure. That will 10 years since ROGER & I were there for the 2002 OPEN HOUSE. Roger wired about 90% of NATE JOHNSON'S MKII that day.
VIC ELFORD signed KERMIT at the MCQUEEN SHOW. JIM's photo shows JONATHAN WILLIAMS & HAL HAMITON [both did some of the driving in MCQUEEN'S movie LE MANS] signing KERMIT's tonneau cover during the show.

I just picked it up on BLU-RAY about 2 weeks ago & it is stunning. One of these days we'll sit down & talk about how the movie was almost never made & how they ended up changing directors 3 times while shooting the movie. Had camera setup on one of the cars for some fantastic footage & the driver forgot to turn it on. They weren't sure how the movie came out until premiere night. It's an interesting story.
