Used May POM gift Certificate for down payment on the FFR Tonneau cover and finally got around to installing today. Because I centered the rear view mirror instead of 1" offset to the passenger side I will need to take cover to the boat top guy to modify the zipper opening to make fit. Other than that job went pretty well using good Duck Tape to position then stretch and drill through the cover and body. I purchased the Lift The Dot punch from a local Canvas shop which made the job much easier.

Nice looking job.

In order to make mine a little more 'waterproof' I think I'm going to have the boat shop add a flap to the drivers side of the zipper that will lay over the zipper. Same as the cover on the TR-250 I once owned.

Rick-

It looks great! About how long did the install take?

I really like the looks of the tonneau, and yours looks nice and taught from all directions.

Great job!

Steve

Hi Steve Thanks

About 5 hrs Had the cover on and off about 6 times during install to punch 3 to 6 grommet holes at a time. No instruction on pin locations so I went 7" and a few extra around the roll bar flap ends. Could have research original or SPF installation but probably been more complicated to lay out. Yes surprisingly taught. Started with the center pin in the rear stripe and worked across the back, sides then dash. lots of duck tape strips each time to be sure things stayed aligned

I might have a pocket stitched on Pass lenght of zipper for a fiberglass rod so that when unzipped for driving it stays rigid. I believe GUMBALL Chris gets credit for that mod.

I have a request. I've been trying to find pictures of what the hardware looks like and how it's built but I've not found much so far. The pictures you have are the best I've seen so far but I need a little more. Can you take a picture of one of the posts that attaches to the fiberglass, without the Tonneau cover in place? I'd like to see the top and bottom of the mounting post. I've seen some covers that are just simple snaps like what you find on blue jeans, but they really should be spring-loaded clips that grip round posts. I'm hoping these are that way, but need pictures to verify.

Thank you very much.

here is where I get stuff like this. From my old boating days.

Scroll to near the bottom for lift-a-dot. Also see the dot-twist-lock fastners. I much prefer these but some people don't like the look.

Great job on the install - looks really well done.

As for the pocket that George mentioned for the fiberglass rod, that idea came from Steno!!!
