Has anyone used a edelbrock air gap rpm dual plane manifold in a mk 4 with a small block Windsor in it.I would like to replace my A9L ecu and Ford intake manifold with this dual plane topped with a FiTech TBI, and hood clearance concerns me.Any imput is appreciated,Thanks.

I've done a couple of customer cars that used 351 based Windsors and Air Gaps. Air cleaner choice is critical---the oval "Cobra" type does not clear the hood. A short 14" round with a dropped base will clear (barely) but is kind of restrictive and in the end probably chokes out any gains that the Air Gap provides. You can help it out a little by using an Extreme filter top.

There really isn't a problem with hood clearance with the rpm intake. a 14" round with a 1" drop base and 3" element fits fine but, you are using FITECH and the drop base does not fit the throttlebody. What I have had a lot of success with for that set up is an oval air cleaner that is 12" long, 8.5" wide with a filter top. It fit's nicely up into the hood scoup area.

I use super victors and do have an issue with fitting and they are 2" taller than the RPM. The RPM and air gap and pretty much the same height.
Here is the air cleaner, We dynoed a 650hp 427 small block with this and there was no hp loss between this filter and no filter. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-g282/overview/
