Question about 2014 5MT

Managed to find a local 2014 5mt WRX trans($1350 seem like a good deal? Only 36k on it), after finding out my 98 trans won't work for my build I'm on the hunt for a new transmission boooo. Back to a not running 818 lol. Out side of different gears ratio and stronger parts, does anyone know of any changes or benefits from the newer 5MT transmissions? I know my VSS wont work but I already deleted my VSS anyways.

When I went to my 2012 trans, I didn't have a VSS either. This caused a reduction in power.
I put a $20 sensor on the front hub.

Good to know I believe the 2002 ECUs have no power drop once you delete the cel for the VSS. But I haven't gone more then 20miles an hour in my 818 so far. Probably a good thing too since my transmission probably was not so happy.
