I am looking to run my fuel lines soon and am trying to figure the most convenient place for the fuel filter and a shut-off valve? It is difficult to imagine the best place without having the aluminium panels and bodywork in place, and as I have converted to Right Hand Drive I am also crossing the car at the rear before heading forward along the left hand 4" Rail (my brake lines will travel down the right hand side).

I have gone for AN6 braided Teflon lines as I am running a high horsepower 427 stroker and need larger lines than those supplied with the standard kit.

Any pearls of wisdom would be most welcome.

I would mount the filter in the stock (FFR) location. On the right side frame rail in front of the tank. What is the shutoff for?

Thanks Mike. The shut-off is to minimise the range for those who might pinch it..........for when parked long term as it wont be kept at my home.

Hotyacht-

Have you considered just installing a fuel pump switch? You can put it in a discreet location, and simply shut it off whenever you left the car, and turn it on when you are ready. It might be a simple way of doing the same thing.

There are a few threads on here concerning security and security systems and such. Many of them talk about the idea that if our car is to be taken, it most likely will be taken via flat bed, and hauled away. You may wish to consider this concept as well, when you plan for your cars security.

I hope this helps.
