I Just order my MK4 Complete kit with 18x9 front and 18x11 rear rims. what size tires and brand do you recommend? I wanted to run 335 in the rear but don't know if it will fit? I'm using the 8.8 with the 11.65 brakes.
Thanks,
Jon

Just went through this process a few weeks ago. 315's are hard to find in 18" size. Don't know about 335's, that's a big old tire!! You might find you have rubbing issues on the wheel wells with that one. If you want Drag radials, Nitto seems to be the most popular choice. They don't have matching front and Rear tires that fit the 18" size. BF Goodrich makes a very good, rather soft, street/drag tire. Check with EdwardB on this one, he installed a set recently. Other companies make fronts or rears, but not both to fit our rims. I ultimately ended up going with a set of Nitto Invo tires, 295 on the rear, 255 on the front. I would have preferred the 315 rear, but Nitto didn't make one that size. I like the Invo tires, as they seem like a good compromise between street and track smarts, as well as a core of harder rubber intended to last for years! Check out my build thread for photos of the INVO tires.

Thank you. I've been looking for days and haven't came up with much. I prefer to have matching front and back but doesn't seen like ill be able to. Ill look at your build and look up EdwardB's build.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new kit! 335's aren't going to fit. 315's are as wide as you can safely go. I chose BFGoodrich Rival S tires, and talked them in this post in my build thread. Then scroll down a couple posts for more. http://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?18591-EdwardBs-Mk4-8674-20th-Anniversary-Build&p=233088&viewfull=1#post233088. As already mentioned, there aren't a lot of choices. Factory Five runs Toyo Proxes R888's for their 18-inch demo cars. But they're even softer (100) than the BFGoodrich Rival S tires (200).
If you have a day to kill ;) the link to my complete build thread is in my sig line.

Thank you. I order the front tires and the back are on backorder. I will sit down and read about your build. I'm sure I will have lots of questions. FF said the kit will be ready for pick on 8/13. Stewart Transportation will be delivering it to me in Boulder City, NV a few weeks late.
Thanks,
Jon
