Does the complete kit come with a shift lever, knob or boot? I like the look of the vintage backwards shifting levers. I saw ********** sells some replicas. Are there any other vendors that sell these? Also, does anyone know what the vintage knob looks like? FYI...planning on running a TKO in my car.

Yes, the complete kit has the shifter stick & knob. The boot is included as well. Also, if you get the complete kit it will save you a lot of time unless you start moving stuff around.

The shifter assembly is backordered. I placed my complete kit order 4/7/16 and have yet to receive it. Might want to go the finish line route....

Is the kit shifter the reverse vintage style with fake lockout?

No. It's just a stainless or chrome stick with a knob that leans forward.

I have one that I will sell you for $30 shipped.

Here's a pic of one with the non-op "reverse lockout" tabs. I also added a shift knob from a '65 Mustang with the old-school four speed pattern, which doesn't match that actual shift pattern for my T5.

Gumball, Sweet interior! What tranny do you have? Is that the ********** shifter? Is it uncomfortable to shift?

6t8dart, Do you have a ********** shifter for sale or the stock FFR shifter?

********** Shifter

I have mine installed on a TKO 600. I moved the shifter forward approx 2.75" by rotating the shifter mounting plate 180 degrees. Easy 1/2 hour job. This put the shifter in a natural and comfortable position for me. Absolutely love it.
