Has anyone successfully installed FFR tonneau cover? There are no instructions and I can't figure out where the different types of studs go. Some are threaded with nuts, and others are like screws.

Should I mark holes on the tonneau first than transfer to body? Before or after paint?

Any help would be appreciated!

I installed one on 7074 - here's a link to my struggles..... http://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?12325-FFR-Tonneau-Done!

I used the machine screw version of the "lift-the-dot" posts, backing them up with fairly large stainless washers inside the body and used black fiber washers that are no larger than the heads on the outside for a great finished look. As for layout, put it on the body, figure out where you want to use the fasteners, then mark the tonneau. It's best to use a dedicated punch - Dale has one that used to make the rounds - as it punches both the main hole and the four secondary ones for the tabs that hold the two pieces of the fastener in place. Once the tonneau is punched, you can then mark the body where you want to install the posts.

Of course, this is all easiest when the body is off.
