I am pulling the push rod from the booster of my 1994 donor. The rod shown in the manual does not look like the one i pulled. The end to be removed from the rod is neither aluminum as stated nor does it "pop right off" when heated as manual says. Any help would be appreciated.

So the Whitby adjustable is the way to go with a 1994 donor pedal box?

Donor brake pedal modified yet? Least I presume that's still done on the MKIV's, with non power?

I always wondered why the donor push rod was offset at the pedal arm mount, yet the Whitby one wasn't? The only issue I ever heard, was that if the push rod arm angle is to steep where it enters the master cylinder, it can cause scoring in the cylinder walls from the piston, and/or cause the rear seal to leak.
Do you suppose that offset on the donor arm is designed to help prevent this from happening?

That being said, I have had the Whitby push rod for 5+ years, using a modified donor pedal and box, and have had no issues..

I tried using the donor push rod and had a binding issue. Tried numerous solutions and eventually bought the Whitby one. Binding issues are gone and brake pedal is now set to the height that suits me. Well worth the money!
