Hello all,

I am ready to start my 818C but the starter will not do anything. I can hear the starter relay click when I turn the key but I get nothing from the starter. No clicking, no slow turning, nothing. I have checked my connections and have a ground to the starter from the motor mount location as described in the manual.

I am using an I-Wire harness and have emailed them, but would love to get this thing started today. Any suggestions? I have power to the brake lights, and I can hear the fuel pump start when I turn the key.

thoughts?

thanks and Happy Father's Day!!

Engine is grounded to the chassis where the motor mounts are. per the manual. I will verify the power..

thanks

This may sound dumb, but is the battery both new and fully charged?

not a dumb question at all. It is new and I verified voltage on it. I am going to try bypassing the clutch switch and see if that does it

Glad it was an easy fix. Sorry about the delay in getting back to you, I was moving over the weekend.

Brian, thanks for the response on a weekend. I appreciate the great customer service. your harness literally saved me weeks of work and the install was easy. I would highly recommend IWire for those that do not want to deal with the harness on their own.

After I got the starter issue fixed, I was able to run the car for the first time. here is a link to the first run if you are interested. the Harness is by IWire and exhaust from AJW. Thanks to both for awesome customer service.

Congrats on the first start! That's brave running the engine with no gas cap on - one spark and KABLAMO!
