Hey Everyone!

Summer is really busy but we have been slacking on getting the Cobras and other toys out on cruises / getting togethers! I am working on fixing that. I'm thinking a back country cruise from the Los Gatos to Morgan Hill, a stop at 2-3 wineries in the Morgan Hill area, then lunch at my house.

When - Saturday, June 25th, 2016 11:00am - 4:00pm (maybe 5:00pm)
What - Back country cruise from Los Gatos to 2-3 wineries in the Morgan Hill area, then lunch at my house in Morgan Hill

Route:
Start - Starbucks parking lot at the corner of Los Gatos Blvd / Blossom Hill Rd, Los Gatos 11:00am.
Leg 1 - Shannon Rd / Hicks Rd over the hill from Los Gatos to Almaden Valley
Leg 2 - Almaden Expressway to McKean Rd to Chesboro Reservoir
Leg 3 - Oak Glenn Ave to Llagas Rd to downtown Morgan Hill
Winery 1 - Guglielmo Winery (near downtown Morgan Hill)
Winery 2- Clos La Chance Winery (Watsonville Rd, Morgan Hill)
Winery 3 (we will see) - Sarahs Vinyards, (Highway 152, Gilroy)
Lunch: - Casa de Kevin off Watsonville Rd in Morgan Hill.

I figure I can get at least 15 cars in my driveway alone so we have lots of room. I am cooking and the pool house is ready (pool table, darts).

Reply back as soon as you can and I can send more details. Hopefully a week and a half notice is enough...

Would love to see a big turnout!

Kevin in Morgan Hill

Based on feedback, I have changed the start location to Artisan Wine Depot's parking lot on the corner of Los Gatos Blvd and Shannon Rd in Los Gatos (I guess that Starbucks lot is a nightmare - thanks John for the tip). I have also changed winery 3 to Jason Stephens Winery in San Martin as Sarah's Vineyard has a very long dusty gravel driveway. The Google Maps link has also been updated.

I am considering buying an MK4 kit and would like to see some in person. Would it be appropriate to come by one of the Winery's on the 25th and meet you and some of your fellows and check out some built cars?

If yes, when do you expect to be at Guglielmo Winery?

Thanks so much. Gary Wayne

Hi Gary, this event was a year ago this week. You are more than welcome to come look at mine though. I'm in Gilroy and there are a couple other down here too.... I'm send you a PM with my contact info.

Would have loved to join you guys Kevin, but am out of town. You guys have a blast.

And Gary, if you want to see one in progress, drop me a line. I am about 60-70% of the way into my build. Be more than happy to answer any questions or show you my build (you can see my build thread on the ffcars forum).

Kevin, thanks for the offer but Gilroy is pretty far away. Do you know and roadster owners in the SF area or better yet, East Bay?

If yes, how could I contact any of them?

Is their any registry where I can look up owners?

Thanks so much.
