I want to send a very much belated shout out of deep appreciation to forum members RumRunner, and Taz for fulfilling a couple of bucket list items of mine. One to see my name in a magazine publication, and two to have that article mounted and framed

Some of you, who have been hanging out here on this forum know, I helped Michael, a.k.a.RumRunner, with his build, GTM #327.
Being of a bias mindset, I still think it's one of the best looking GTM examples built, but that's just me.

The Carlisle Import and Kit Car Nationals was the first show that Michael showed #327 which caught the attention of the on-line magazine, Car Builder, who photographed Michael's car and asked him to do a write up for an upcoming issue, which was September/October 2014 issue.

Image my surprise when I read the very kind words that Michael wrote.and saw my name in print. Heck I thought I might have been a royal P.IA., and giving off "freaky" vibes, with the mantra, this car wants to be built, Lol.

After seeing that article I knew I wanted it mounted and framed. I contacted a few graphic artist companies, and came to the conclusion that what I was asking for was, either very costly. or they didn't understand what I wanted done.

This is where Ash, a.k.a. Taz comes in. While talking to him about this year's calendar orders options, that I wanted,I casually mention to him that I was having a hard time finding someone to understand my concept of a framed magazine article. After listening to my ideas, he asked if I wanted him to take a stab at developing a rough draft. I knew by his calendar work, that he does know his way around Photoshop, and since he was crazy enough, to want to give it a try, to develop what I wanted, I said sure why not.

Below is what Ash came up with and as you can see, it just blew me away. He did capture exactly what I had in mind. He is a true artist, and can't thank him enough for what he was able to do.

After that I manage to find a frame shop to mount, and frame it just the way I wanted it.

Again I want to send a massive shout out to just two of the many talented forum members, who help all of us to fulfill our passions, and dreams.
