FFR part #13686 Headers

I have a 2006 MK3 with the 4.6l 4v engine. Headers from FFR [part #13686] installed. Why does the driver side header have a downward bend towards the end of header that places the pipe approx. 1 1/2 inches lower than passenger side? Leaves a larger space above pipe and body cutout also. Any remedy for this?
