FF MK4 - 100% street use, I want the best mountain road handler coupled with best road ride I can get.

2. IRS
3. Heat - driver, pass & def.
4. Wipers
5. Soft top
6. A/C - not required but high on want list.
7. Fuel Injected (regardless of motor)
8. ABS - based on what I have read in other posts this my be the toughest of all.

Based on how you ended your other thread ("Still not 100% committed to this project... At this point free time is the biggest issue.") I'd be concerned. That's about as complicated as you can get. It can be done (and has been) but Coyote + heat + air + ABS + power steering + wipers makes a very tight package. Won't be cheap either. Don't mean to be a wet blanket. Just observations.

I have all the options mentioned with the Coyote. The A/C unit I have is not available now so you will need to do some research. The mounting of the compressor and power steering pump to the Coyote isn't easy as there aren't a lot of brackets designed for both. The Mustang uses an electric PS pump, I'm not sure what the F150 uses. ABS is not hard but sourcing the parts/wiring/sensors takes some due diligence. Be aware you are going to be north of a $50k build if you use new parts. Since you didn't mention power brakes, you will need the upgraded Wilwood brake package. While you are dreaming, you might consider a tilt front to have easy access to all the accessories up front.

Here's a thought that you might consider. If you can find a Coyote in a truck with all the OEM options you mentioned, it might be your best bet cost wise and engineering wise. It could save you tens of hours fabricating and one off fitting some of these components. You could add the pretty March pulleys if you wanted to dress it up. Even if you get this to work, I would still be concerned with the heater box and wipers. However, that's also part of the fun: knowing you have made something work that many have not. You might be able to source the ABS from the same donor. Just remember you are putting something very large into a small space. The maintenance aspects and access to plugs, etc are something to consider down the road. I have a small block in mine and personally can't imagine having to work around a larger engine (but that's a personal preference). J George did a Coyote in his roadster (earlier version). If you visit some threads like his you can get a better feeling for how much work is involved.
Good luck,
WEK.

Other than the exhaust header bolts, maintenance access for a Coyote couldn't be too much easier. No plug wires, and plugs are in the top/center of the heads. No distributor, cap or rotor. Belts are on spring loaded tensioners. Oil filter same location as a SBF and easy to reach from the bottom.

Edwardb Knows His Stuff So His Advice Is Among The Very Best On This Forum!
I often look at his builds to get inspiration, except for my drive-train, that was my idea.

Opps! Yeah. I think I had a senior moment. Apologies. I reverted back to thinking about a big block with it's issues. That's funny because the computer system I got will allow me to go with DIS and COP so mine will be somewhat simplified too just like the Coyote. I do admire the use of technology with these modern engines.
Thanks,
WEK.

No problem with the wet blanket, reality is good. That's what I want. Again it's a wish list, but I have to start somewhere.
