Mk4 Hood Hinge

I installed the hood hinge as the directions said to. My problem is that the hood sits about two inches back and I can not adjust it forward.
Could some of you please post a few pictures of your FFR hood hinge setups. I will post some photos later. I'm traveling at the moment.

The pictures in the assembly manual are accurate. You must have something backwards. I cant even see how you could get 2 inches off with them mounted backwards

Yes, you have the "fore & aft" adjustment brackets backwards. You need to swap sides ......as a bonus you get to swap all the arms as when you turn them around your hinge arms will be reversed. I've done so many of these I put them together on "auto pilot". Due to a brain fart (which I am given to way to often) I reversed those brackets one day and when I mounted the hood, I found as you did, the hood was set way back. It was a big WTF moment for me till I saw the errors of my way.....Repaint and thin no more my son....da Bat
