Gaskets between body panels

What are people using for gaskets between body panels, if anything? I have some rattling in some places.... mostly hood to fender, and engine cover + trunk to side sails.

I remember quite a while back there was some discussion about this but can't find the thread and not sure there was a conclusive answer. Foam tape would certainly work but would look unsightly through the panel gaps.

I'm using 1/16" thick white rubber for my white 818, but it comes in 3-foot x 3-inch pieces so I had to cut it narrower and there are a few seams. It's from McMaster-Carr. I'd like to find it in longer pieces.

My kit came with d-shaped black weather-strip to put in those areas. You can buy it from FFR or Mike Everson as well.

Thanks guys. Do you find it to be noticeable in the gaps? Did you have to cut your panel returns thinner to compensate or the increased height?
