Going to take my driveshaft to local shop for shortening soon. My question is i am using the motor and transmission from a 1994 donor GT. Can i trust the length dimensions posted in the manual? I think 94-95 have a different bellhousing. Length is listed in manual as 10.625" . Any input would be more than welcome.

I have a 95 transmission and bellhousing and the FFR driveshaft fit fine. There is 5/8 inch (I think) increase in bellhousing length with the 94/95 versus the 93 and earlier. If I was going to have the driveshaft cut I would make sure the rear dif was installed and slide the driveshaft slip yoke into the transmission until it bottomed out. I would then measure from the center of the u joint hole in the yoke to the pinion flange on the dif. I would have them make the driveshaft about 1/2 inch shorter than measured to allow for some movement under acceleration.
