My Mk-4 Cobra is ready for panel fitting, body finishing and painting. I live just south of Baltimore. Can anyone recommend a shop that I can trust to do great work?

located Greensboro and forum vendor. Probably closest to you

Lots of great painters in the vendor section depending on how far you are willing to go. My next car will go out to Jeff Miller in California

Some of the things I would check about any painter is promised delivery dates. I would check with other FFR folks who have had their cars painted by x and then ask about quality and adherence to a promised delivery date. IMHO the two of the more important factors. I checked with mine and got good reviews on both . He came through on both which I expected. Just my 2cents.

I would go to Whitby based on where you are located. Have only heard good things from them.

Whitby is about 5 1/2 hours drive from south Baltimore, you should make the drive and check them out. I did last month and I'll be getting mine painted there.

Whitby has been building these cars for years and does excellent work. I would highly recommend them. Give Jeff a call.

I attempted to order some parts from Whitby and they never were received so I had the items charged back.

Please be advised that I have seen one car that he did paint at "Cruising The Emerald Coast" and it was done well; however, an acquaintance of mine has a car that has been sitting there far past the original anticipated delivery date.

Just make sure you have a specific delivery date included in the contract with a per day per diem penalty for each day past the date specified for delivery.

Sorry, but the situation that I am familiar with is now more than 90 days overdue.
