Turned out great, the pics don't do it justice. Fresh 2.0, 18G turbo, 1000cc injectors, Wilwood 4 piston brakes, Enkei wheels, VCP harness and MS3pro ECU, and VCP air to water intercooler set up.

I'm liking that color combo more and more every time I see it. Very nice. Maybe you can cut the grass with the splitter.

That was before I set the ride height and I mowed the grass about 2 hours after the car left to go back to Michigan.

Wayne, how did you end up securing the front of the engine cover? I see a quik-latch for the back of it, but not the front.

It's a custom blend that me and my painter came up with. For $5 I'll give you the formula

I am building a 818R for a guy in Texas right now
Wayne, how did you end up securing the front of the engine cover? I see a quik-latch for the back of it, but not the front.
I took a different approach at the front of this engine cover. I used the top door striker support bolt to attach a .250" piece of aluminum that lays inside of the vertical area at the front of the engine cover, drilled and tapped the plate 5/16-18 and use a plastic knob with a fiber washer against the painted surface of the engine cover. This way it is solid mounted to the frame and keeps the body free of visible attachment points.
Great job Wayne. Any Coupes in the hopper?
Only putting one on my car.

Fantastic Color!
Just wish I had the expertise and budget to do one.
Also, Subaru's are not common down here in the land of Dixie!
Very Nice Car!

Thanks for the info on the engine cover attachment. I've been brainstorming ideas lately since I'm working on the body now. One idea I had was to glue some U-channel aluminum to the underside of the top of the engine cover (so the legs of the face down), then take another piece of u-channel and glue it just below that, facing up, on the side sail. The legs of the U would overlap. Then drill a hole from the cabin side through the side of the engine cover and through all four legs of the u-channel and secure with a quick release pin. Your way sounds easier though!

It was so easy, I wish I would have taken a pic before the car left.

Thanks again!
Do you have any tips on mounting the door panel to the top of the door skin in such a way that the attachment hardware is hidden? I noticed on a couple pics of your orange 818 that there were no visible bolts up there:

I have the original fiberglass door panels which are much stiffer than the new ones. I have a screw in from the back edge of the door skin near the top to hold the rear edge and I have the front edge trapped under the mirror mount plate.
