Any thoughts on converting the 4.6L SVT DOHC engine that is in my MkIII project acquisition from EFI to a carburetor? I found that Summit Racing has an intake manifold. Thinking this as an option to simplify the engine electronics and wiring, plus I like the "old school" look of a Cobra with the carburetor.

Thanks,

I have seen a few that have been converted and they just don't run as will with a carb.

I did that kind of on my hotrod. You will need something to control the ignition timing like the MSD MOD6 controller. Also there is no information anywhere on creating a timing curve for this motor. I used some info provided to my by Wayne Pressley to get the car running. You will need to dyno tune the car for sure. I used a pair of 390 Holleys and now efi.
