Front bumper at same height as side sails?

What is your intended goal on this, should the front bumper/fenders (new nose or old one, specify) be fitted at the same ground clearance as the side sails or can it be higher?

I tried to have it at the same height (new nose) but it seems to affect too much in other areas of the body.

Also I am unsure of the consequences on airflow (I will have a race splitter).

What could be the best end result we should target for?

I just set the front of mine to be 1/2" above the bottom of the frame. I used a long 4' straight edge clamped to the frame with a 1/2" thick piece of wood on the top. Also double checked with a laser level.

Frank, the manual for the New Nose (Rev-1p) says, "Attach the lower nose support to the radiator/nose mount using 5/16” x ¾” carriage bolts and washers and locknuts. Set the height so that the bottom of the inside nose mount is flush with the bottom of the chassis."

The old nose, per the 1-C manual, should be 1/2 inch above the bottom of the chassis.

Pete, but that doesn't take into account the splitter or does it?
It seems to have it flush with bottom of chassis you have to bolt the lower nose supports to the lowest. Or maybe I welded them too high, that's possible. I'll revise that and aim for the bumper without splitter.

Frank, I know nothing other than what the 2 manuals said. I was at work and didn't want to do what I was planning on doing, so I looked stuff up in the pdf manuals. I'm in no hurry, but I'm waiting for my new top and new nose. (sounds like the waiting room of a cosmetic surgeon, eh?)
