If this has been addressed on this site or over on GRM, I'm sorry. I haven't had the time to sift through the 75+ pages in the hopes of finding the answer.

Do our submissions HAVE to include drawings over the three templates provided? I understand that they're in place to give us some hard points to work around but I actually made a rough 3D model with those dimensions and have made a few sketches over them. I read the original brief and it states...

"The templates give minimal but important information. We will accept designs in a variety of formats, from simple line drawings, to 3 dimensional concept sketches, all the way to elaborate 3D CAD drawings. Just make sure to submit your entry as a .JPG or .PDF file. "

I know that whatever we submit would still be subject to change / interpretation / modification for production feasibility. I just wasn't sure what sort of "artistic licence was in place for this competition, if any. I was just looking through the weekly winners thread and even some of those are a bit "stylized" to convey a theme for the vehicle more than anything super concrete. Which, sometimes that all you really need to start, but I wasn't certain if that would be acceptable for a final submission. A little clarification on the required deliverables (or even just a link to where that information is listed) would be very helpful. Thank you.

You do not have to include drawings over the three templates.

Dave weighs in here. Make of it what you will.

Yeah, I started that thread too. I assumed it meant that at midnight tomorrow night, it was all over. But then, I guess technically that'd be June 2nd. See, THIS is why I asked for a date, time, and time zone and preferably an 11:59 time. :sigh:

How do you interpret Dave's statements? I take it as they'll be loose with the deadline, but noon on June 2nd probably won't fly.
