I'm slowly getting all the donor parts out of the car. Just ordered Willwoods, Hailbrands, front control arms and spindles. One of the last donor pieces is the stock ugly fuel tank hanging down in back. I noticed the Boyd banner flash up one day and clicked the link. The tanks look pretty good and I'm all for helping out community sponsors. Does anyone else here have one installed on a Roadster and if you do, is it as visible as the stock tank? Pictures would be great.

I'm running a 427 Ford racing crate motor with 750 CFM carb. Any suggestions on which fuel pump to put in it?

Thanks.

Just installed one. I had Dave custom build with a few mods for my particular setup. Here are a few pics. BTW, the tank is awesome and the craftsmanship is stellar. Pics show mine powdercoated. It comes in raw aluminum. By the way, this bad boy holds 26 gallons of fuel and because it's not humped on the passenger side, you get an accurate fuel level reading at all fuel levels.

For the record, are you looking at a Mk4 when you say how visible the Mustang tank is? With the Mk4 lower profile, the tank is not nearly as visible as previous Mk's. Only a couple inches shows.

Good point, I have an MK3 so that tank shows more.

Thanks for the pics Trevor. I was thinking about powder coating it as well. It looks great and being able to have more volume is a huge bonus.
I found out the hard way that 1/4 tank reading on my fuel gauge = empty fuel tank.
