I am working all my sheet metal for my 818s, I have all the wheel wells done, under seat piece and the nose piece below the rad. I am curoius for a street model is there an advantage to the sheet metal piece that goes under the battery area (between the nose/rad metal and the firewall/floor boards) I am sure for aerodinamics it may help with air flow under the car but it seems like it would be better to leave it off to help let air move around for better cooling at the front bulkhead and around the battery and AWIC pump?

thoughts?

When the car is moving the air will be pushed out of the front of the car through the hood vents, where the hood meets the windshield and through the wheel wells. While stopped the hot air would rise and never escape through the bottom of the car.

The are no real benefits to leaving that area open and it will greatly harm the air flow under the car.
