I'm still working on the Vintage Air heater. About ready to run the ducting, which for me will all be to the footbox's, (no defroster). Anyone have any pictures, methods, ideas on where and how to run the 2" ducts to the footbox's? Through the firewall, or around and under the 2x2 member, or ? Thanks.

I used 3" ducting from Spectre and used their universal MAS Air sensor fitting to duct it into the two foot boxes.
A pair of Attwood marine blower (130 CFM) feeds cold air to my side and it pushes through a heater core on the right side of the car.
Please know that my set up is a "Passenger Only" space heater for my better half's feet.
A 5/8" Four Seasons heater control valve and a choke cables operate this very simple heater.

I'm still looking for ideas/pictures of the 2" ducting from the heater to the footboxes (no defroster). To the rear and under the 2x2? (that seems not a good idea since it will hang down under the dash) Through the firewall and through the footbox aluminum? (again, seems not good because of a lot of new holes in the sheet aluminum where there probably ought not to be any.) I have to say, the instructions in all these little projects are pretty minimal. I'm sure the hundreds of experts here have the real know-how.

Other side is similar. Just ran the tubes where they would fit. No defrosters were installed. There is an Everson under dash panel & the tubes run out & over the edge of it. May cut holes to re-route the tubes closer to the outlets.

I used an under-dash support panel and utilized that as a mounting point for the heater outlets. I used the ball-vents that came with the FFR-supplied Vintage Aire system, but removed them from the square housings that they were in originally. I then cut some large holes in the under-dash panel directly over each of the footwells, where I mounted the ball vents.

Pics are always better, so here you go.....

I also included defroster vents and routed them as shown in this picture. I blocked off the bottom of the supplied vent funnels, then drilled a hole in the sides and epoxied in place a 90 degree PVC elbow - to which the upper outlets from the heater box were connected.

I installed exactly as Chris has done in a tray sourced from Mike Everson for $35 replicaparts.com

Excellent solution, Chris. And clean! Passed it along to a friend who is deciding how to route the hoses.
