Having major problems on trying to figure out what I use from mustang parts. Factory Five doesn't tell you what to use if you are using the mustang lower control arm. Do I use the Mustang lower ball joint? Do I use the Mustang spindle? I think I do use these parts because I don't have the parts they show in directions.

If you didn't buy the complete kit then you need to use the donor lower control arms, ball joint and spindles. Also the steering rack from the front end.

thanks Mike, It would be nice if FF would tell you that, tore up the ball joint dust cover getting the spindles off.

In addition to the parts Mike listed you need the shock mounts from the rear differential. Here is a picture. The rear shock mount is modified and used to attach the coil over to the lower control arm. Here is a picture.

I discovered that in the back of the build manual Norm. That also had me scratching my head for a while. Also the build said to attach the upper control arm on the top of the bar, while there build video shows it attaching to the side of the bar. I attached it to the top of the bar I hope thats right.

I believe the upper control arm attaches to the top of the mounting point for Mustang spindles with the adapter bracket and to the side for the FFR supplied spindles.

Clancy, if you use the Mustang spindles you attach the UCA on the near horizontal surface. If you do the SAI mod or use the FFR spindles, you attach to the vertical surface. I suggest that, if you have a question about something, before you rip up stuff that doesn't need to be ripped, do these two things. 1- Search here and the other forum. 2- Post a question. Had you done either, you would have understood that you leave the spindle on the UCA and install the pieces to your FFR frame.

Craig, I think you meant LCA not UCA. I took mine completely apart to do the required mods and get it painted. I also took the opportunity to replace all wear items. Went with new hubs, tie rod ends and ball joints. I didn't know the history of my donor and wanted the peace of mind.

Now I went to put on he adapter brackets and realized that they are slightly different from each other, don't know which goes on which side and can't find anything in the build manual.

I don't remember them being different or side specific. Post a picture. Maybe some recent upgrade?

they are almost identical, one is wider than the other, when u attach to upper ball joint, on the the wider one the 4 connecting holes are a little farther away from the ball joint connection.

They are intended to be identical. Perhaps you got an incorrectly packed pair with one regular and one pin drive adapter???? A photo would help.

ok I just called FF they are supposed to be identical, they are sending me 2 new ones because they said they have 4 different ones and they are not sure which ones I have. Thanks all for the help.
