Has anyone cleaned their Simpson harness ? The website says to use mild detergent and a soft cloth. Can I just spray the belts and metal with Bike Bright and a cloth and brush... then rinse with a hose? Drying should be done by hanging and let air dry? I am finally ready to install the belts and they have 11 years of crap on them. Oldest build on record?

Thanks,
Michael~

I don't know what Bike Bright is but I think you've you've got it right. I just used warm water and Dawn dish soap (not too much, just enough to get a decent amount of suds). I didn't immerse the belts, just wetted a soft nylon bristled brush in my soapy water and brushed it in direction of belt fabric (up & down) both sides. Wiped them down with a water-wetted cloth and then left them to dry outside in moderate sun exposure. Dawn worked well to get the greasy sun-screen marks off the straps closest to my neck.

What about trying carpet and upholstery shampoo?
It works on my couch and carpet so maybe it would work on your harnesses.
All of these things are made of nylon blends so it might just work.
Just a thought from the Peanut Gallery.

Pressure washer (at a reasonable distance) with belts laying on an old piece of carpet.
