Going over the body again before disassembly and spraying the Slick Sand. One question I had was the clearance I should have between the door's leading edge and the body when opening the doors. The doors clear now (barely) but after the body work and paint are done I don't want them to rub. Anyone have a standard that they use?

Back bevel the inner front edge of the door to provide additional clearance as it swings through it's arc while opening.

I like to finish the gaps at about 3/16" after paint which means that after accounting for the buildup of SS, base and clear (on both the door edge and body) you will see almost 1/4" when everything is raw.

Thanks Jeff. I have beveled the edge but will need to widen the gap a little (with the door closed). Appreciate the response!

Same as Kleiner.....rather have a bigger gap then torn off paint...da Bat
