Can I paint the body before or after I put it on

I always have the bodies on and back off a couple of times for fitting and bodywork but do the paint with them off.

If Your MK-4 Paint Turns Out Anything Like Your Truck, Then You Will Be World of Wheels Bound!
Also, I put a small plate (1/8" Aluminum) over on the right side of the firewall.
It really made mounting the Wiper Motor way more secure.
