I am testing whether I now know how to add/imbed pics into threads. 53189

I think this is what is called imbedding a thumbnail.

Sweet - nice motor!

I'm going to have to stop by and check it out soon. My brother just moved into your neighborhood and I'm pulling my car out of storage today. Let's plan on getting together soon so I can check out your progress!

Oh boy...check my progress? Said the professor to the student. Actually, I'd appreciate your input. You can check the weather the next few weekends, but short term here are dates I know we're around. May 8th and weekend of the 21st. Or the mornings of may 14 and 15. Just let me know if your in the area those dates and it should work.

Thick that worked fine but is extra work for us. You know, two more mouse clicks is a killer. Ha, ha. Anyway, I use Photobucket and that way you get a full sized pic you can look at. Example.

Another advantage is that Photobucket works exactly the same way on all 8 or so of the car and gun forums I am on. After a bit of getting used to, you can take a cell phone pic, upload to Photobucket, and put it here in about 5 minutes. The slowest part is the Bluetooth from my phone to my PC. 2nd advantage is that Photobucket takes care of sizing the pic automatically. When you go for a link to your pic, there are 4 choices, depending on where you will use it.

If you use the pic gallery here you can embed full size images.

Also, pics in the gallery will always be here. Other pic hosting sites - including photobucket - have had instances where the URL to the pic changes and all the links are lost.

I recommend using our picture gallery.

Craigs and Dave, I will try to fine tune. I have Dave to thank for getting me to this point of working on pics. Much appreciated.

Dave is a proud PaPa when it comes to this forum, and who can blame him? He does a wonderful job keeping all of this running like a well oiled machine. Where I disagree with him and take Craig's side on the picture hosting is this; if you're going to ever use your pictures on multiple sites or forums then Photobucket is really a better choice. You can divide them up in albums for specific build order or assemblies and cut down on the time it takes you to find that one picture to post in helping a fellow builder. Just my 2 cents.

I use the galleries on any car site I participate in to store pictures. The pics all will have a URL to display them any place you want.
