New 818 nose upgrade

I am trying to mount the new 818 nose on my 818. I have the old nose off and the first instruction for the installation of the new nose is to "Attach the brackets to the inside of the radiator nose mount using 5/16” x ¾” carriage bolts and washers and locknuts. The bracket acts as both a mount for the front hood pin and as a support to locate the front fender." on page 388 of the assembly manual rev 1P. The problem is that the bracket is not on the original radiator support structure. Where do I attach the piece that will bolt to the brackets to the inside of the radiator nose mount? Rivnut? Weld? Though Bolt?
Also, is there a place to attach the lower nose support to the radiator/nose mount? (Page 389) There is nothing on the old radiator support structure.
