I live in Madisonville, LA and I am looking to purchase the MKIV kit in the near future and would love to see some completed builds in the Northshore New Orleans area. Any members out there willing to let me come see their car? I attended the build school a couple of years ago and am getting close to having place and funds available for the build.

My intent is to build an undercar exhaust with a Coyote engine. I've searched the forum and see where this has or is currently being done.

I've had a love affair with cars since my early teens. My dad had offered to help me build a Contemporary Classic Cobra back in the 80s when I was in my teens but I opted to buy a '79 Camaro at the time. Dumb mistake....but as much as I wanted a Cobra then, the urge to have a car and drive immediately won out. I worked at an auto part store and rebuilt a couple of cars growing up. Been in a desk job for the past 23 years so I haven't touched too many cars since but ready to get back into it and finally build that dream Cobra.

Thanks.

1. Two MK-4 cars are currently being built in Slidell.
2. Another fellow has a completed Type 65 Coupe that also resides in THE DELL.
3. In addition, there is one more guy that lives in Pass Christian that has a completed MK-4 and like me works in NOLA
4. I Smell A Factory Five Club Being Born Rather Soon!

Cant help you with New Orleans people but how beneficial did you find the build school? On the fence about going and looking for feedback.
Good luck with your upcoming build.

Build school was very helpful and a lot of fun. You get a lot of tips and tricks that aren't in the manual and gives you some ideas for changing things around that make some good sense like moving the battery around.

Try fitting a 383 SBC & ZF-6 Speed Transmission and I can honestly attest that it Ain't In Da Manual Dawlin!

The Moser Rear fits nicely; however, it does shorten the drive shaft an inch or two.

Right now we have HOTRODDER427, PASS CHRISTIAN, PMASTIO & yours truly GODADGO within a 50 mile radius of NOLA.
We've got another fellow that has a type 65 that I'm going to try to get to join the forum if he isn't already a member.
Do we have any more folks down here in the Deep South that are members of this forum?
We'd like to hear from you so that we can create a Factory Five Cruiser Group.
The Hot Rod Power Tour is in June & Cruising the Coast is in October!

Steven,
SVTFreak, Joey, lives in Prairieville and is an excellent resource. He has built two FFRs and his workmanship is exceptional. Real Ford guy. Since the Power Tour is starting in Baton Rouge he would be a good one to keep in mind. Henry

Hey Gang,

Please let us know if we have any other Factory Five Forum members near the Metro New Orleans Area.
Also, I met with Jerry (FFR Type 65 Coupe & Super Nice Guy) and his car is scary fast.
392 Roller Windsor, TKO-600 with 3.55 in a solid a 3-Link Rear, plus the car has a wipers, radio & HVAC. (Jealous I Am!)
My lovely better half will be teaching how to get on line and on this forum.
Let us know if we have any other Who-Dats down here.
