Pretty sure I am going to go to the build school in August.

For anyone that has been:
What is the daily schedule like? Do you just get in the shop and build all day or do they break it down into small groups that complete certain tasks and then come together as a large group to assemble the car?
Just curious if you basically see everything or only certain parts you are working on?

The website lists it as 9-5. Do they stick to that pretty much or do you work later? On Sunday I am looking at flights and the last one out of Flint is at 6. Is it feasible to make that or do you pretty much stay right until 5 on Sunday?

Hello,
I went to the hotrod build school and had a blast! The schedule is set so they can complete the build and some of the basic components may already be assembled and some components such as power windows are not installed. But the instructors will talk you through any and all of the steps. At my class you had the chance to be hands on or step back and observe. This gave everyone a chance to look at the specific part or parts of the build that interested them the most. The instructors are great and I learned the most from one on one conversations specifically about the questions I had. The class is structured enough to stay on schedule but open enough to allow different conversations to be going on at times. If you need to leave early just let them know and they will take care of you. At the hotrod school Sunday afternoon is when you get to see the car get fired up and the instructors tear up the parking lot with donuts!!! So leaving earlier wouldn't be to bad but that part was fun! The end times each day are pretty close on the other days and the group usually agrees to meet later for dinner. Lots of great food and conversation! Have fun!
