Hi guys, have pretty much decided on the FFR mk4 kit and this forum looks so exciting.
Due to our EPA rule down here I pretty much have to run a Coyotee if I want hassle free rego. Has anybody run a blown Coyotee yet?
If so, what brand and size? How did you go for hood clearance and where did you pull cold air from.
TIA
Cheers

I drive a 2014 mustang with the coyote, the best option in my opinion is the TVS from VMP tuning. It is basically the same as a roush but it has been improved in numerous ways, flows better and more hp. It is taller than the normal coyote intake but not much. I know of one person, don't remember who, who has a coyote and the TVS and it fits fine un a roadster.
Good luck!

If I had the mad money, I'd already have a Whipple 2.9L installed on my Coyote in my MkIV. Just can't justify the $$$. Come onnnn "cloud 649"

A Fuel Injected LS would be an option as well; however, you will need to modify the engine & transmission mounts in addition to the drive shaft length.
Exhaust routing is minimal, but so is the engine's footprint.
Check out the Factory Five customer gallery because they have one there.
Check Out PACE Performance because they've got them in all sorts of configurations.
Horsepower can be had from around 450 to as much as 700.

G'day Matty,
Where exactly are you located? Down here in Australia, I have built an Absolute Pace 427SC which is powered by a blown ZL1 6.2 LSA. Two of my friends are building the same car with Coyotes. Russell's is an Aluminator, and Darryl's is a Miami (Supercharged Coyote out of an FPV 335 GT). Darryl's chassis and bonnet scoop had to be modified to get the motor and supercharger to fit, but it does fit.
Cheers,
Sime

Thanks GoDadGo, yes LS are great and make great horsepower for the dollars, but with all respect an LS has no place in a Cobra. After all, GM knocked shelby back when he approached them before ford. Don't get me wrong, I like LS's and many of my competitors run them in their race boats. Horsepower per cube the Coyote is still ahead of an LS anyway.

Hey Sime, yes mate, I'm in Queensland.
I'm keen on the FFR and they are available to see here in both Brisbane and Perth.
Great news, if its close we can 'make' it fit. I just don't want to upset the look of the body work.
What state are you guys in? What were he major hassles for compliance? I will be purchasing a factory RHD as built by FFR and delivered via Component cars.
