Couple of Newb questions,

Looking at a retirement project. Looking at the Roadster, Coupe or Hot Rod. I am a bigger guy, 280 lbs, 6 foot, seems like the hot rod would be the best fit, but just wondering what other feedback is. Also, is there a trunk option on the hot rod?

The best answer is for you to go to one of the Factory Five events held around the country. Many of the owners attending these meets will allow you to sit in their car - just don't expect to drive it! Another option is to go to build school so you can get "hands on hardware" time and find out just what is involved with building one of these cars.

For reference, I'm 6'1", 230 lbs. and I chose the '33 Hot Rod. I fit easily in the build school version, but my head hit the roof on Dr. Ruth's Hot Rod Lincoln. A great deal depends on the choices you make in the build - like chopping the top or using different seats.

I have been fortunate to build all the FFR models except the GTM. IMO the 33 will work best for you. Plenty of trunk room. Get the big guys seats. An automatic makes for more foot room also.
