Mounted the pedal box with the correct front foot box tin. The clutch pedal is hitting the 3/4" tube almost as though I need to heat up and bend it so it clears. This can't be correct? Thank u for all the help!

Ah yes, the clutch pedal hitting the frame problem. It is annoying, and yes, sadly, it is "right". Everyone using the Wilwood pedal box has the problem. You have two options: 1. Notch the pedal to provide clearance, or 2. cut out the part of the frame that is in the way and weld or bolt in another piece of 3/4" tube on the outside. The relative merits of each have been debated to death on this forum. You can search old posts for the debate. Bottom line, you get to choose. To see the modifications, you can compare what Edwardb did in his builds (he notched the frame) http://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?18591-EdwardBs-Mk4-8674-20th-Anniversary-Build (post #25) vs what what I did (I notched the pedal, see my thread below, post #58).

I assume you mean it hits when you press it down. Little more than half-way down. If so, this is a very common problem and talked about a ton. Here is one thread, of many: http://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?16713-New-FFR-Mk-4-builder

Type "site:http://thefactoryfiveforum.com/ clutch pedal interference" (without the quotes, ignore the link) from Google and be prepared to read. BTW, this is the best way to search the forum IMO.

Yes the type 65 has the same problem. Seems like they would have fixed it by now. JMO.

I ground the area where the pedal arm was contacting the frame support.
It was easy to do and made sure to leave plenty of material for the pedal.
By doing this I did not have to compromise the frame.
Sorry that I don't have pics to attach to this post.
Good Luck!
