I'm not too sure how to wire the courtesy light. FFR supply a strip of LEDs. There is one wire labeled courtesy light, so do I have to fit a door switch?

I added a couple of old-fashioned under dash courtesy lights (the bare bulb style that were used in the '65 / '66 Mustang). They are wired to the headlight switch rheostat and go on when the knob is rotated past full bright on the instruments to the detente position. But, they are one-wire positive lamps and the switch that FFR supplies is a negative switch. So, to make it work, I had to run through a relay - the switch activates the relay which then sends power to the lights.

I used two little lights I bought at Princess Auto in Calgary and wired them to a hot at all times circuit. Wired the ground to the headlight switch dome light grounding post and to two pin switches, one at each door. The supplied lights should work the same way.

You can use the wire marked for it and when you turn the headlight switch to the one way it will turn on the lights you put where you want. I did not use the led strip but 2 nice led lights in each foot box.

You can use the headlight switch to control courtesy lights however be aware that it switches ground rather than feed. Rotate the knob counterclockwise you'll feel a detent--- that is courtesy light "on". Supply battery voltage to the courtesy lights (radio memory is what I use) then run the ground wire back to this terminal:

When the knob is turned to the detent it will provide ground completing the circuit!
NOTE:
The headlight switch has to be grounded. There is a tab on the metal switch frame (opposite the side visible in the photo above) that will accept a female spade connector. To assure that the switch is well grounded run a wire from this tab to the chassis.

Jeff,
Thanks. The wiring harness has a wire labelled courtesy light so would this be + ?
If so, I will just need to run a ground like you say.
