Looking to Buy: Chump/Lemon car. NE area

I'm in the market for a chump/lemon car. Prepared or Not. In the New England area, though I might be willing to travel if the deal is good enough.

If it is not prepared I'm looking for something that run's and drive for ~$500 or less. A Preped car I would be willing to spend more on, as the trouble of caging has already been taken car of. No hard price for a preped car, it would really depend what the car is, spares, etc..

I'm building a Miata right now for the Lemons race. It was hard finding cheap, interesting, manual, fun to drive, cheap, reliable, easy to work on, rear wheel drive cars.

I'm targeting the late October event at NHMS, so I still have time on my side.

Right now the top priority things are reliable, easy to work on, and cheap to fix. Everything else is bonus.
