Two Boss 302 Paint Design Ideas - You Pick

Dave asked me to post a quick question to you hot rod guys. Ford Racing is having a '33 Hot Rod built and we asked Murrary Pfaff to sketch out a Boss 302 Mustang style paint design. We can do this in dark blue or silver. Which do you prefer? Or neither. Thoughts?

Wheels are by Billet Specialties. Engine is the new Boss 5.0.

I think Boss 302 I think Orange and flat black stripes...........of those 2, def. the blue...........JMHO Steven

Hey Dave, any chance you could apply that paint scheme to a Roadster? I've got a FMS BOSS 302 crate motor in mine and always wondered what a BOSS paint scheme would look like...

We have looked at boss stripes on roadsters and hot rods. The problem I have with them if you get the angles on the boss stripes right they don't match the geometry on the car. You can see it here with the way the ridge below the hood gets wider as you move to the front. We've never painted one that way because we could never get it to look right in tape. Just my opinion. I would like to see it pulled off successfully we just haven't hit on a layout we liked yet.

Sorry Mad Dog, I am not diggin' either of them, the Boss 302 needs to have the other stripe, the updside down hockey stick that ran up over the hood. I would propose Yellow car with flat black stripe....

this would resolve much of the Angle confusion Jeff Speaks of below.

The Blue is the better of the two choices presented. What about Silver with Blue stripes?

If I HAD to pick, I would go w/ the blue. Personally I would go w/ original colors (grabber blue / orange, etc)

I vote for neither. It should use the 1970 Boss 302 Mustang stripes and it should be painted Bright Yellow as the 70 was.

I like the blue better than the silver, but I think it should be one of the original Boss blues (Dark Aqua Metallic, Medium Blue Metallic, Grabber Blue) and a black hockey-stick stripe.

Neither of those designs says "BOSS" to me ....

As others have already said, the design should have the hockey stick stripe.

If I had to pick from the two it would be the blue. Niether one would be my color scheme, it doesn't quite capture the 302 Boss feel.
