I have searched locally for months and found nothing that wasnt crazy over priced. Does anyone know of any good donors????? I have looked at both regular and salvage cars. Not much luck. Luckily i am not in a super hurry

Plenty of suitable donors in CA, if you're willing to stalk Craigslist. The following is from today's SF Bay Craigslist:

1994 ford mustang gt 5.0, convertible, low miles - $2400 (belmont)

The ad copy states 125K and a 5-speed, the pictures show a really straight drop top with a nice interior; probably could get most of your money back from parting out the car.

For most builds a complete donor is not necessary. The build we do we get diff, spindles and pedal assy's from a local wrecking yard. Everything else is new.

I would skip the donor completely. A salvage pallet is a better choice. There is no one model Mustang that has all the right parts. W/ a pallet you can get an axle from one year, a trans from another, an engine from another.
