My other toy. 1958 tr3a

This was a 8yr frame off restoration done by me and my father, and the inspiration for the Cobra. After completing this my father knew he could build anything.

Great looking Cobra and TR3. What's under the other cover?

A TR6 Dad bought it from PA and on the first couple of drives broke the frame. So it was the third restoration we did, before the Cobra. We did not go into the engine on that one. just reworked the frame and powder coated frame and suspension. The straightened the body with new interior. It was a easy one. It has taken me 3 months of talking him into taking it to FL for a play car down there. I finally got it done. I think, I'm hauling it down in the fall. He wants to reseal the engine this summer. The second vehicle was a CJ7 that I did during the TR3a. That was the biggest money pit I ever did but had the most fun doing.

500+ hp & ft-lbs on Cooper Cobra's. That pretty much defines throttle control!

That is a mighty fine pair of cars.

Yep! LOL like I stated in the other thread, you don't blip the throttle or play when it's 60 degrees out. Hell after 80 degrees and warming the tires up driving around third gear will break them loose! And my father wondered why he drove the darn thing scared. LMAO!
