Hello from the UK prospective 818C owner seeks car to have a look at in the summer

Hi All,

Me and the mrs spent a great 4 weeks last year touring around the amazing national parks you have in the west. We are coming back this year and starting in Denver, we are going to the Rockies, Badlands, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Park City, Moab, Aspen and Colorado Springs.

Anyway the reason for the preamble was to ask if there are any 818 C owners in that area who would not mind showing me their build or completed car. There are none as far as I can tell in the UK and Hammink in Holland only have the race version to look at. We will be out there for 5 weeks from 20th July and any offers would be great.

If you're going to the Badlands you might want to avoid the area during the Sturgis Rally. It starts August 8 for a week. Bikers start coming the week before and stay around during the week after. Finding motel/hotels will be difficult if not impossible unless you have made reservations already. Spend a few days in the Black Hills. It's definitely worth it. Not many FF owners here that I"m aware of. One Roadster under construction here in the Custer area.

Well if for some reason your driving through Nebraska you can come see my 818c kit. It will not be fully complete, but should be at the Go-kart mode.

We will be long gone by the 8th but thanks for the heads up adubbeld, black hills are on the list, got 3 nights in Custer. Roadster looks awesome but no chance of a donor in the uk for sensible money. Always happy to chat about cars though.

redfogo, where in Nebraska are you? Would love to have a look but it depends how far you are away and whether I can tie in the trip to seeing some natural wonder ;-) to appease the mrs :-)
