Hello Factory Five Racing community. I'm excited to be starting out on a project that has been on my bucket list for a long time. I will celebrate my 60th birthday this summer by building a Mk4 roadster with my youngest son who is 17. We will be attending the May builders school and receiving our kit at about the same time.
As I'm mostly retired (with two boys still at home - 17 & 19 years old - there's lots that still keeps me busy) I should have plenty of time to devote to the project.
My build strategy is to use stock Mustang power 250 - 300 hp with a T5 tranny, stock front disc brakes and the FFR rear brake upgrade, stock steering rack, FFR vintage GPS gauges. Nothing real exotic - pretty much a stock kit but with a focus on a high quality build.
Without a doubt I will rely on this forum community for advice, guidance, and support. I thank you all in advance as I have already gotten a lot of great ideas for setting up my work area just from lurking around and observing what others here have done.
Hopefully I will give back some to the community as well...
