Sitting in the driveway here in Ottawa, the border crossing was no problem.

Pics tomorrow!

What? No picture of the kit on the trailer? No photo of you and the Mrs. sitting in it in the garage making car sounds? Geez, I don't know. I think this is all a ruse. Darn Canadians! :p

Seriously though, congrats and can't wait to see the build progress!

Victor,

What a pleasure it was meeting you. I told Jim to save the firebird your buddy! Jim said he'd call you before he sells it, but knowing jim, there is little risk he'll sell the car. Thanks also for the help with CF Fundraising. I have some great pictures of the pick-up on Mad Dogs camera, but he's out today, so I'll post em tomorrow. Good news that the border went smoothly. Thanks again for the support and stoke.

Hello Vic,

I only just discovered this website today, or I could've offered you a seat for our Cobra cruise this past Saturday. We ended up with nine cars and rumbled through some of the back roads from Greely, to Embrun, to St. Albert, to Vankleek Hill, to Plantagenet and then to Carlsbad Springs (at which point I had to leave the gang). In all our convoy included seven FFRs, one ARC Roadster (an Ottawa-area kit builder) and one Superformance (mine).

Hopefully we'll get another cruise going soon and you can come out and meet everyone.

Wow, I've been busy in the days since I brought this home!

I started working on my front suspension when I realized I need to look into spacers. I had tried using the washers/spacers supplied but it just wasn't close enough. I was able to grind down the spacers on the coil overs, it's pretty good. The lower control arms though, no way to get them nice with what I had on hand.

I first picked up some galvanized pipe to cut to size, not bad but I had to look for something else. In the end I found some spacer washers at Home Depot. The are paper thin so I can build them up to be a perfect fit.

Do any of you see in issue using these? I may take some pics and submit it to the build wiki. I think FFR would be better to supply an uncut length of the spacer pipe they use and allow us to cut them to size.

Brian, I was thinking of hitching a ride on the 4th but spent the morning with the wife instead. Next time for sure. Just getting my head around all this stuff!
