Boss 302 Engine Availability

Sometimes you just have to laugh at life. I finally made the decision on a Ford Boss 302 with the Holley EFI for my MK IV and called Fortes to put it together. Just one problem, the Ford foundry that makes the blocks has shut down and Ford has not yet found a new foundry. No engines available. I called Summit Racing and they confirmed the info and also said Ford was offering no dates for resumption of production. I guess I will move forward with the things I can and wait to see what develops. It actually serves me right for waiting so long to make an engine decision.

One word.... Dart.

X2 on Dart. It has similar upgraded features as the Boss 302 at a similar price point. My engine builder thinks Dart is better, especially for stroking because it has extended piston skirts.
