I need to refill my parts washer with new fluid.

Last time i used a water based, it was safer, but it did not do a good job of cleaning.

I am tempted to use good old stoddard, but i have heard that it has been changed, and it is not what we had years ago.

What are you having good results with ??

Thanks, Derald.

A few years ago I had a company called Safety Kleen change the fluid in my parts cleaner. Their product seems to work very well.

If you have a tractor supply near you, they sell a solvent for parts washers in 5 gal cans. Two cans worked for my parts washer. It's good old petroleum based stuff that has a slow evaporation.

It's called PSC 1000

Thanks guys. Both the safety kleen and to PSC 1000. from tractor supply are mineral sririt based, but are not local to me.

I have put stoddard solvent (aka mineral spirits ) in the tank today. Found it in bulk locally, and at a fair price.
