Been thinking about a coupe for over 1 year now. The big hold up is the sliding window. Has anyone put power windows that go into the door shell in a FFR coupe

The way the doors are shaped would make it pretty difficult for the average builder to accomplish. I think it would take a completely new design. Shoulder and arm room is already tight. making doors wider to accept windows would make this much worse

Gordon Levy (Levy Racing) is working on a kit for roll down windows. You might want to check with him about it.

It's doable. We have a prototype that works. It is very complicated and requires us to install them in your doors. I will let everyone know when we are ready to sell systems.

Hello Gordon,
Just curious if there is any estimate for pricing? Will there be manual & power options?
Thanks for your time!

Yep, I ran across that too & looked into some universal kits, was just curious what a correct setup would run to keep install time down. If I go this route I'm probably going to just focus on getting the car done & will have to come back for the mods later :)
Thanks!

Howdy,
The '68 Hurst Dodge Dart w/ a race hemi had plexiglass slide windows and they used a strap and a snap button to raise and lower the windows w/out and mechanism.
I thought I might go this route if I decided to add windows, but since I'm building a Spyder and I don't have a top, windows aren't that important.

From what I've heard (not having ridden in one) the side windows don't flow a lot of air unless you put on the A pillar wind deflectors. I suppose roll down windows would work at the drive through better than the slider. I intend to install the sliders on mine. I also will install A/C and heat. I will be going in to sit down at the eateries.
