I was doing a test fit today and noticed I seem to have 2 lefts. Granted it will work flipped over but it doesn't have the slight radius edge and the finish isn't as good on what seem to be the back side..

Thats the way they are made. Probably why I sell so many of them. Check out my web site at
www.replicaparts.com
Not sure why they didnt stamp a left and right. Or leave the cutout off of them

Hi Guys,

The LH and RH trim plates for the Roadster windshields were initially made the same way, so the edge looks different when you flip one over for the other side. We've asked the manufacturer to change them, but they won't be in until the next time we receive windshields. I'm looking into a solution and currently have only the same part for both sides. I'll post again when I have any further info.

Thanks,

Jason @ FFR

Thanks for the reply. That is exactly what I thought was going on. I don't need the plates right away but I was doing test fit and its not a huge issue and seems to be good for Mikes business.

I picked up my Mark IV in April of 2011 and have two left side trim plates. Based on other discussions I had assumed that was just the way it was but apparently not. Are the right side ones in stock now and if so how do I go about getting one?

I just called FFR and at this time there is no right side plate and you just have to flip over one of the left side ones. For me I can't do that as it looks real bad. I mean afterall this is a finish piece that everyone sees.
